On Saturday, January 12, 2019, I’ll be talking to 10 year old author Nikolas Alston on another segment of “About the Book” on the Joe Lockett Show (WXJC 101.1 FM), 4:00 pm CST.
Let Nikolas tell it, going from public school to home school was quite an experience. It’s a short book so I don’t want to spoil it with all the details. But I’ll tell you this, Nikolas could not have done a better job than this. The book is fun, detailed and is a clear example of the creativity that lives inside of kids heads.
When Nikolas participated in the Metro Birmingham Children’s Business Fair, I was able to nab a draft copy of the book. The books hadn’t been printed yet, but that didn’t stop him from taking the pre-sale orders.
In addition to talking “About the Book” Nikolas will be hanging around the radio station to join the Love Hate Debate discussion about bullying. You’ll want to hang around to catch that as well. So tell your kids now that there is no need for them to make plans for Saturday, January 12, 2019, because you have plans for them from 4 – 7 pm CST.
